How would I calculate sitting height?
« on: November 02, 2021, 06:50:28 AM »

Would it be total height minus your length of body below the torso?

What's an ideal ratio for lower body to upper body?

Sitting height is measured while sitting on your butt, from floor to the top of the head.
The ratio is =  sitting height / height

Chapter 3.5 (how to measure sitting height ratio SHR)
Chapter 5 for a global chart on SHR

"Mean SHR for populations of adults varies from minimum values, i.e., relatively longest legs, for Australian Aborigines (SHR = 47.3 for men and 48.1 for women) to the maximum SHR values, i.e., relatively shortest legs, for Guatemala Maya men and Peruvian women (SHR = 54.6 and 55.8]."

I don't think it's from the floor. It's from the chair sitting (where we put our ass)
