any videos of people after full healing
« on: November 21, 2021, 05:39:20 PM »

Besides Cyborg4Life, I can't find any videos of people walking, running, or performing daily activities after the bone has completely healed. Any links? Thanks.

I made a topic like this a few months back without a good answer(any proof), which ultimately deterred me from getting the surgery

They say you will lose 5-10% of peak athletic performance but in reality I believe you are permanently crippled to some degree, AKA a significant reduction in overall mobility and speed.

It is not enough to THINK

Stop airing what you GUESS, because it is going to put who could benefit from it OFF unfairly.

Let a professional say that

Check dr.donghoon Lee ytb channel .
He has some different post-op videos about 1 year or 5 years or 10 years .
Remember that this is a surgery we all want to keep secret and move on .
It's hard for a doctor have CLL patients come back to them for a demonstration , especially because most of them are not local .
I would not fly back  for it tbh, like anyone, unless you have some issues which we hope not.

Here on the forum most members are not former patients but rather perspective ones like me , and the veterans mostly did it long ago and with external methods .
I have many concerns too but not that you will be crippled (from a very good surgeon) .
If I could be 100% in daily life and 85/90% in high level activity I would be down for it but the issue here is that :method, doctor , amount of lengthening and discipline of each one plays a role so it's hard to make a general rule .
If this things crippled ppl on a daily basis it would not be legal , more then that I would wonder how much we can retain in terms of athletic ability .

Yeah I've seen lots of videos of patients who did stature lengthening. Many you'd never know they did it. Some did LON tibias, internals like Precice etc. Even Dr. Paley said yesterday most of his patients get back to their pre-op levels/functionality within 2 years which is when I noticed the same.
