lengthening my femurs twice? your advice
« on: May 06, 2014, 01:53:49 PM »

Hey guys.

I have already lengthened my femurs 6 cms two years ago with Guichet. My original goal was 10cm but I couldn't achieve this due to tight muscles. I am wanting to now do another 5 cms. He has told me some of his patients have done this and recovery is a lot faster then if I were to do ribs. Also it's a lot cheaper as I have the rods already in me.

I am undergoing training and stretching at current and hope to do this next year. Any advice would be great or opinions.

Cheers

Why not tibia? 11 cm on femur makes you look like a gorilla...

Don't do it.
10cm never looks good in one segment.

Do 5cm on tibias if you really feel you need more height.

If Dr. Guichet says it's okay, then it should be okay.  He is a highly credible and reputable surgeon.  If you're lucky enough to be a patient of his, you should listen to him.

Guichet nail is good for 10cm so you could do 4 cm more.  If you have the money I would go with tibs tho, more balanced and probably less complications in the future!

As a patient of Guichet, you undoubtedly had to prepare your body beforehand, yet yo body was telling you to STOP at 6 cm and your subconscious is unsure about adding more (hence this topic). I would weigh the opinion of my GUT and muscles/skin vs Guichet and his upselling. If he told you that you should do tibs then you would/should go find a much cheaper and just as effective tib doctor. His advice = cheaper for you (the incentive) but with much less work for him with still a high payoff:effort ratio. It also entails totally whack proportions and extremely strained muscles for life along with banging those monster femurs on desks errytime you awkwardly stand up. Can you do that? Sure. Should you? If you like playing Santa with fatty kids on yo lap maybe.

I would eff that. Everyone I read on here who has gone over 7 cm has suffered quite a bit more complications than at 6 anyway. Get 5 cm tibs and be a sexier beast than ever. But it's your choice.
