hi guys, im writing this diary because when i was researching about limb lengthening, the diaries I read were really helpful to me and also because I'm really bored.
I'm 18 years old and my starting height is 174cm and my goal is 8 cm on my femur. I'm doing this procedure at AFA at Istanbul and so far everything has been good. Currently I'm at 2 cm and I already see my femurs longer which makes me really happy but at the same time there's really nothing to do the whole day and its really boring.
When I had the surgery around late November I remember waking up from the surgery really cold but I didn't really have much pain. They hooked me up on some morphine and put five blankets on me and after a few hours the cold went away and I had zero pain which was surprising to me. I was able to walk with the walkers the next day without any pain and on the third day after my surgery they took my morphine away which felt great.
After seven days I returned to the hotel and on the 10th day after surgery I started lengthening. Everyones so chill here and the doctor is really good and knows what he's doing. I wouldn't go to any other clinic in turkey and I would choose AFA over the clinic in Korea or US because of the quality and the price that they offer.
Now I'm about 2 cm taller and I feel a little pain in my pinsites which is normal but fortunately, I'm able to walk around without any pain and I can kinda run but obviously I don't for my safety. I would recommend PRECICE for those considering doing femurs because its just more comfortable when you sleep and you don't have much pain on your skin or muscles.
Also so far I've barely taken any painkillers which I'm very grateful of and the hard part of this procedure would probably be physio and stretching your muscles because it hurts
If you have any questions feel free to ask and ill post my x-ray pics soon
