Four segment lengthening in two stages
« on: July 08, 2020, 04:47:40 PM »

Is 4 segment lengthening worth doing, I am thinking of going for Femurs with STRYDE and tibias with TSF frames and Synthes Expert nail (LON) but confused if it’s worth it. As I don’t really understand what 4 segment lengthening is, it looks like it’s surgery done after 2 weeks apart both on femurs and tibia but is it worth taking the risk?? Someone please help thank you

I am thinking of doing the surgery with Dr Giotikas as he seems like a good surgeon and is cheap aswell his pricing for 4 segment surgery right now is:

Four segment lengthening in two stages. The second stage is scheduled at least two weeks after the first stage.
Femurs and tibias with STRYDE nails: 90445 Euro
Femurs with STRYDE and tibias with TSF frames: 65650 Euro
Femurs with STRYDE and tibias with TSF frames and Synthes Expert nail (LON): 74750 Euro

Is it worth doing, worth the risk, is the pricing okay ?
