CLL in UK/England/London
« on: June 18, 2020, 01:23:22 AM »

Just found some great news for anyone looking to do CLL in the UK

https://www.giotikasorthopaedics.co.uk/cost-pricing-of-cosmetic-limb-lengthening/

...looks like Giotikas performs it from a surgery in Cambridge.

I've emailed them for confirmation. If they do I'll be going ahead next year: Femur Stryde, hopefully the full 8cms.

This is BAD news. This means he will be spending time in two different countries and not care properly for patients in either country. This surgery does not end when they do the stitches. It ends when distraction is completed.

Jumping between two countries was how Jean-Marc Guichet went about his business. We all know how it turned out.

I don't know why this fascination with Giotikas. Just because a couple of his patients started an Instagram diary (and abandoned it) and wrote a few nice lines about him here, do you entrust him to perform this surgery for you? I don't know, he may be a good surgeon and doctor, but there is no evidence at least online.

I think you’re right.

I called the number on the website and got through to a lady who gave me his mobile number instead.

I called and asked if he performs it in the UK. He said “Yes, in Brighton“. But his website indicates Cambridge.

He also said he’s in the process of finalising his UK website: (giotikasorthopaedics.co.uk).

Definitely not getting a professional impression thus far. I think I might just go with Paley.

There are some good diaries of people who did CLL with him though.
