https://www.reddit.com/r/virtualreality/comments/dm0xn0/best_games_to_play_sitting_down/This guy had foot surgery and was looking for VR games he could play sitting down. It got me thinking.
And when devices like Occulus Go or Occulus Quest, they don't require wires attached to your computer, which might be good for safety and could help take your mind off of the pain.
I once saw on television, new reporters visited a severe burn trauma center for soldiers that helped them regain their range of motion/function. To help the soldiers get their mind off of the physical pain during the stretches/memories of the fire, the physical therapists would have the soldiers play a VR game with a relaxing, snowy environment where they threw snowballs at smiling snowmen. The physical therapists did this to help get more range of motion during the stretches and take the patients' minds off of things burn related. Unrelated to that, I noticed when I get shots at a hospital, the person will typically have me look away + talk to me about mundane things to get my mind off of the needle - basically, I think there may be a legitimate use of distraction/controlling what you see to take your mind off of pain.
Anyone tried this out? What games/content might be good for taking your mind off of the pain/calming yourself down? Maybe not during LL physical therapy though lol, would probably just fall/trip except maybe something like stretches lying down in the center of your bed
