Getting out of bed after Stryde
« on: October 22, 2019, 07:57:06 PM »

Hey guys, looking for advice from those who have done/are doing femur with Stryde. Which part of your body did you find the weakest when trying to get out of bed to get to wheelchair/walker, was it just both legs or does it affect areas like your back and butt? Is it worth buying a bed rail to assist or are you totally dependent on having someone else having to help you get out of bed in the beginning?

Your legs feel weak and heavy right after surgery, you'd struggle lifting them up off the bed from a laying down position. I'd say you'd definitely need people around you for the first 2-3 weeks to help you get up from the bed and into the wheelchair and stuff because otherwise you can do it yourself with with a lot of effort and pain. It does affect your back and butt after a coupe weeks.. back: because of duck ass sometimes I have lower back pain, and butt: when I sit down in the toilet or in general it's not ass comfortable before because I don't have cushion anymore.. mostly all bone now lol

lol, we're gonna look good with our long legs and boney asses  ;D Thanks for the info dude, really helpful. I've read your diary too amazing work man, yours and IFS are the best Stryde diaries on here from what I've read so far. Is there any point in buying one of those raised toilet seat things?
