LL Forum Go Fund Me
« on: September 14, 2019, 01:36:38 AM »

I wanted to introduce an idea of having Go Fund me for those of us who are struggling to come up with moneys to provide for this surgery.

Hear me out. It appears to me that at least 3 to 5 thousand people are online viewing this forum weekly. I am a student fresh out of University with thankfully no debt due to scholarships. However I value my health and body above everything but don't want to go with anyone who isn't safe and skilled (Paley, Conway.. etc). I would be fully involved with the donating and I think if we all collectively contributed a little bit of dollars for each other to undergo, we could help provide the financing for others.

If this is a completely ridiculous idea, then it lies and dies here. But I was doing some calculations in my head and 3000 contributions of $15 could help someone provide half of the cost of Paley's surgery.

Just an Idea. Hope nobody trashes me. What do you guys think?

Ha ha,...Go Fund me for CLL! That is a cavalier idea.  Good luck man! I'll throw in a few bucks. Let me know when it's posted.

this doesn't make sense, you said there are 3-4k visitors weekly (if they are unique visitors, most of them must be coming back the weeks after and so on), and with 3k contributions of $15 (on average, that's really high) you only paid HALF of a surgery. Basically if EVERYONE give $15 you pay HALF surgery, once.

Makes no fking sense, you won't support any surgery like this, not even one, surely not for the many who are in needs.

Go Fund me works for ONE project, not for lots of people that need money, also especially if you ask within the community where people are considering exactly this surgery so they need those money. Really doesn't make sense to me.

Great idea but unfortunately reality doesnt work that way. It’s just too good to be true. There is absolutely no way you will even get 500 donations of $15 here. And yea most of the people viewing this forum in one week are mostly the same people on the 2nd week too.
