Pain when walking
« on: January 31, 2020, 01:47:24 PM »

Hey guys, so I'm about 3 months post op and stopped lengthening about a week and a half ago. Things are going okay except for walking unassisted, my left leg is fine but I get a sharp pain in my groin area when I put weight on my right leg. It's been like that for a while now and I'm starting to worry that it might prevent me from walking properly. Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?

Do you mean the Stryde nail? Yeah, why do you think that's somehow causing it?

Hi Nestor,

According to studies/diaries, the pain could be linked to the nail or also often from the screw (as it could irritate muscle and soft tissue).

It could also just be muscle pain and go away when you are recovered.

Are you still experiencing this pain ? And what your doc told you ?

Thanks 5cm. I really hope it's not the nail or screw causing it, I'd hate to have another surgery. Hopefully it's just muscle tightness or something that will recover in time. I haven't got speaking to my doc in detail about but I will next time I see him.
