Just an idea I had, I probably wouldn’t go with it it’s just playful thinking before you bash it but just for fun imagine this scenario

Insurance covers major discrepancies. Let’s say someone of low stature was to get externals on the left femur and left tibia ( split it up in two surgeries because of the risk of fat embolism doing same leg at same time, you could theoretically do it in one surgery but there’s a risk of getting really sick and fat embolism can be pretty fatal) would cost under 25k-30k usd which pretty credible doctors like Greece or turkey, etc. lengthen the femur and tibia each 5-6cm for a total of 10-12cm on left leg. Do them 1 month apart.  Right leg would be fully functional during entire process. When your leg is healed and external frames off, go back to US and have your insurance (must have insurance of course) lengthen other leg for free with paley or Rozbruch, wouldn’t count as cosmetic, and lengthen other leg with stryde with full weight bearing. Of course you would have double the surgeries ( 4 compared to two ) but if all goes well you would save a ton. Or you could even Lon/latn on femur  and external on tibia for one side and go back to Us for stryde on the other leg. Doctor would most likely be able to fix any minor complications you have afterwards if you have insurance and go to paley. Luckily I live in Florida, Which is where paley is. Does anyone know if insurance lets you go to doctors in your state only or can you go out of state for treatment

Would also take more time* but even if you go with faster method like Lon
Paley charges 200k and dr.m 140k for both legs. Rozbruch is even more. That extra 7-8 months would save you over 100-150k. Might be a stupid idea but I think the extra time and uncomfort if worth that amount, only if you go to a very credible doctor that’s good priced (muharrem inan or Giotikas or Solomon)
