How to tell if your legs are too long?
« on: November 20, 2017, 03:05:37 AM »

Has anyone found a way to know if your legs are too long?

I mean I'll look at my legs one day and go "yeah they're long" but then a couple days later I'm like "hey they're not that long at all".

I'm not looking to gain a crazy amount just a small 2 inches in ideally my femurs but yah.

If you are black, then your legs are longer than other races, if not, dont worry. There is a condition called klinefelter disease, which can cause very long legs And short torso, if is not your case, you are in average, is just your perception.
Knee height can help

It really depends on averages for example i’m 5’10 and the average leg length for people this height (going by inseams) is around 82 cm however my inseam is only 78 cm 4 cm shorter then the average for my height which means I have a longer torso 20-21 inches which is above the average for the height of 5’10 (the average for this height is 17-19 inches torso this would be the shortest 17 inch for 5’8 and 19 inch being the tallest for 5’11) so you can tell by little things like that hope I explained it enough for you.

I lengthened my tibias about 6.3-6.5 cm.
When I wear a pair of new balances which give like 3 cm I guess my lower leg becomes equal or longer than my upper leg.
After that, If I wear my wide pijamas and pull it just beneath my belly button my legs look a bit too long but if I wear normal trousers my legs look completely good even with +9-10 cm (6.3-6.5 from LL + 3 from the shoes).

So what I'm trying to say is that it is completely relative to what you wear how you wear it and the point of view.

But If you ask about nked proportions with +6.5 in tibias I look way better than my before LL version.

Btw I think long legs look really nice and even if they are somehow too long you can hide it with the clothes you wear. Also, Leg length is a crucial criterion when choosing models.

I am 171 with a 28.5-29.5 jeans inseam. You are pretty normal.
a 5cm lengthening will not cause you to look too wierd

Thanks man, I just feel like my thighs are very long and since the femur is my choice of lengthening it's a concern.

I'll have to do post a mockup later on and get a few opinions.
