Right now,I'm hating life, but determined to   finish this... I've been thinking of turning over 1 mm a day to get it over faster,then get latn nail with dr parihar.. I'm going to ask Dr, though I'm  pretty sure  of his answer... For those that lengthened more than 1mm, how long did you do  this for, and wha was maximun you did a day?

hey dude, i just had my surgery Jan 14 of 2014 with a internal nail doctor named Guichet. i lengthened more than 1mm for a while.

i did 21 for about 10 days and and then 1mm a day for a while. i lengthened the fastest right after surgery. i think that's because he thinks that my muscles have more room to give right after his pre op trainning program so i can lengthen faster at first. i am at 7.3cm now and doing about 4-6 clicks a day, which is just right around 1/3mm a day.

i dont know if u r doing internal or external, but with my internal nail it almost doesn't matter how fast i lengthen i feel like as long as it's greater than or equal to the rate of consolidation. my consolidation rate is about 25 days/cm. the soft bone matrix has to form before the calcium deposit slowly hardens the bone to a point where u cannot lengthen anymore. so i am about 80 days post op but i have about 200 days to go before my bone fully hardens, and i have slow healing so 1/3 mm a day is just about right for me given that my soft tissues like muscle and stuff r at the peak of their ability to adapt and 1mm a day is out of question.

i think even if u r done lengthening, the consolidation phase is gonna be a while yet judging by some diaries. it took me a long time to get over it, but i realized that even if i stop lengthening now, i still have like month before i can function somewhat normally, like limp around and stuff let alone walk flawlessly as if i never had surgery

I did 2mm on my left tibia.. from 3cm to 8.11cm in 28 days.

Divide 2mm by 8. That means you will be lengthening .5mm every 3-4 hours, depending whether you want to wake up in the middle of the night.

But I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this. You should only exceed 1mm per day if you have a fast healing rate like I do.

dude, i am not really walking so much as limping around on crutches and walker frame. i think to walk unaided will probably be like 3-4 month if i stop clicking NOW. but given that i wanna click slowly and see how far i can go before my bone fuses and i cant click anymore, probably like 6-8 month realistically

btw, i am trying to get out of the LL community so idk if i am gonna check on this forum or even old forum  since i am just consolidating basically and there's not much to talk about. i'll prob still make vids ocassinally when i feel appropriate, but there's soo many other things i wanna pursue like grinding NLH, building scale models, learning my family business, trying to start up stuffs on my own, hang out with friends and gf, etc.

so just skype me if anyone has any other questions bc as glorious as LL was, i dont wanna be like apo or sweden and stick around years after their journey

It's good to hear that you are doing well.

I'm curious to see how different you look after gaining about 3 inches.  Can you post some pics?
