Screw Fusing to the Bone
« on: April 06, 2014, 03:15:25 PM »

When the screws are implanted I was under the impression the bone will join with the screw filling in the gap between the screw and hole with bone holding the screw in tightly. Is this what happens?

With titanium screws, that's what happens.

Have you not gone to see someone yet? Ask the doctor if the type of screw used is the appropriate medical screw to use. A gaping hole in your leg with a screw coming out would definitely warrant a trip to the ER, dude. You will get a bone infection if you haven't already. It'll be interesting to see what the docs say as all us Sringari patients have the same ticking time bomb in our legs if he's using a wrong type of screw/material.
