Is 2-2.5in a good amount?
« on: March 24, 2017, 02:01:25 AM »

I'm a guy who generally plays it "safe". I know LL isn't fully safe and if I was truly a safe guy I would stay far away from this, but my hatred of my height outweighs my fears. It seems no doctor truly endorses going past three inches/7 centimeters. So at 5'5" would getting the extra two inches be a good amount or would it be pointless? I figure with shoes+lifts I could be 5'9 and that is about average. Also would femur be a "safer" bet or tibia?

definitely safer to do femurs... i think doing 2 inches would probably be worth it, 2.5 definitely worth it. everyone has their own (likely egocentric) bent toward what heights have the most to gain from the surgery, but I personally think 2-2.5 inches for anyone 5'4-5'6 would likely make a huge difference. Definitely doesn't get you to average male height but gets you above average female which may mean something to you or others.
