Not at all. I won't pay extra for scar removal. Scars don't matter.

How much does scarring after CLL matter to you?
« on: March 18, 2014, 07:33:11 PM »

Scarring after cosmetic limb lengthening is something that matters to varying degrees, depending on the perspective of the person you ask. I wonder how significantly scarring matters to the members of LL Forum.

I chose 'not at all'. I've got so many scars on me from reckless behavior as a child in addition to all the times I've gone dirt biking and ATVing in the desert and crashed.

I don't really care about scars but since I will be hiding my LL to everyone I don't want some big scars.  Especially on my shins where people can notice when wearing shorts.

It matters to me up to a point. One of the reasons I'm choosing femur over tibia (lots of other advantages) is due to less scarring. I wear shorts all the time.

You can't remove scars completely, you can only make them look better and less noticeable by various techniques.

As a young man with a 4 inch keloid scar (surgical) and over 9 other scars (mostly from MMA and getting attacked by a gang), I reaaAAally don't want more.

I've had hydrocortisone injections and laser treatments for scars. It does help a great deal. After flattening the scar and correcting it as much as possible, it's not a bad idea to get a tattoo over it if you're still not happy. I've a tribal tattoo covering two scars and they're invisible now.

Luckily, I wanted such tats even before having scars. You have to be comfortable with it as a final alternative (something like this).
