Someone posted a link about a guy who is 159 cm getting leg lengthening surgery in Hong Kong and having such horrible problems. It gets very emotional. What do you think is this accurate representation of what the surgery can end up like for some people or you think they are just trying to make people scared of it?

My first question is what the heck kind of frame is that? It looks like they just pinned down one ring to the guy's tibia and then connected it to a monorail at the front of his shin. I wonder if during production they even consulted a doctor that performs leg lengthening, because that doesn't look right.

Also the ending is stupid. Tall brother basically telling short brother "height discrimination is all in your mind, brah". Heard that one before.

but yeah his brother was right what is differences between 5 3 and 5 5, your still short, maybe he was planning a 2nd LL but i guess not now.

yeah in the descrpition he says all the doctors in the show are tall, well in house m.d. there was a doctor who was 5 5 tall for sure, but i wont make this a big debate on the short guys in the media, sometimes they hide it, sometimes they show the height, some movies make some men appear shorter for some reason and they are meant to be the hero.

They are making short people who want to get taller feel bad. And he was harsh a the short guy at the end... The short guy has it worse than him.

yeah he said i couldnt say i had a bad day because maybe you had a bad day and your short.

well at 5 3 everyday is a bad day anyway, can't imagine what it would be like to be 4.5cm shorter than myself, but it is a fictional character, the men on the short and male documentary were mostly 162.5cm so im not sure how many 160 guys are out there.

First of all I am a 160 cm male living in hong Kong. Actually the differencr between 5'3 and 5'5 in hong Kong atleast is huge. At 5'3 id say you're taller than about 50 percent of the girls here, at 5'5 probably taller than like 75-80 percent. Luckily girls in hong Kong aren't that tall. "At 5'3 everyday is a bad day" is for sure an overstatement haha, I still manage to have a lot of good days, have a cute gf, meet people etc but yes , being this short definately holds me back. I think if you get this surgery for girls then you're doing it for the wrong reason. I hope to go to 5'6 Then maybe wear shoes and be 5'7 which is totally acceptable for me.
