Femur/tibia
« on: December 25, 2016, 09:23:15 PM »

Hi,

I'm 171 cm (on the daily average) male, who'd like to have 6-8 cm added to height. My feeling was always, my stature is more suited for femoral lengthening. My legs are pretty short, and sitting height is 93,5 cm.

I had however some closer look at the proportions and now I'm a little bit confused. Maybe I can go for 6,5-7 cm in tibias and do not look weird? Well, there's always going to be some disproportion, but I don't care that much. I wanted to do XRay in order to measure tibia and femur but at least where I live in, you need to have doctor advice (even when doing it in private hospital) :( So I have to go for some consultations at LL doctor for exact measuring.

I'd prefer external tibia to internal femur solely due to the financial reasons - it would be good to save some significant money and enjoy comparable effect, even when with way more effort.

Please have a look and judge. I had to roll up the boxers leg, so let's say, they're in the position of the normal pants.  What's worth mentioning, my femurs seem to have way more muscles than tibias (comparably) - partially as I ski and ride a bike a lot, but mainly due to the genetics.

I would think 6cm on your tibias would be barely noticeable.

Looking at your pictures, I think that tibia would look much better than femur.
