is internal really worthy to do?

external method is three times cheaper than internal method. what are the pro of internal method? anyway the result will be the same except the scars. with that price of internal method you can also make a scar removal surgery

there is little reason, just some crazy people want to blow more money than others.

but really it is faster, internal femurs, but the only real reason is for people doing a 2nd LL or if they have long tibia so can only do femur.

Scar removal surgery doesnt  remove completely and in some cases not t all.SCARS ARE PERMANENT,but they can be minimized and also there is no such thing as a scar removal surgery. It is scar revision surgery and thats why people opt for internals.externals produce way more scars.

but how big difference between internal and external in terms of scar will be? to do with internal method, i need to put a rod in my leg,it will make a big wound

is it a good idea if i do external for tibia and internal for femur and humerus?

and i know some celebrities who go in accidents and remained some big scars on their bodies and faces, but after scar reduction surgery they look normal and be able to work as actors again. but the price must be high I think

There are many pros for internals, such as a much higher comfort than externals. The recovery is faster, you have scars that are hard to spot. You can life a normal life much faster, especially with the wheight bearing ones. Last but not least the Docs who perform internal surgeries seem to be safer than those who perform externals only. The reason is pretty simple, since the price for internals is so much higher it is only performed in first world countries, wheres externals are pretty common in russia or india.
I'm only talking about femur lengthening, it's a different story when it comes to tibias. If you only want to get your tibias done and don't care too much about the cages and the scars than it's probably a better idea to do externals.

so for tibia lengthening, the only difference is scar, right? the time for recovery will be same to use both methods?

Edit:
Sorry I read femurs at first, yes but you´ll wear them for a very long time. I personally coudln´t wear them for a year If I wanted to gain just 6 cm´s.

The scars from the pinsites of external frames are the easiest to remove; they're the most responsive to scar excision surgery.  This applies to tibias only, though.  External femur scars are big and horrible.  I wouldn't do external femurs unless it was the only option.

Why I'm planning on internals:
-My femur(layman's view) looks' much better lengthened than tibia. There's no way I'll do external femurs
-I want to lengthen 8cms. Externals are often limited to 5 or 6
-Internals are more comfortable
-Externals take way too much time

Externals are not limited to 5-6cm.  bluebarbie just did a lot more than that.

Some externals are though, right? Like Ilizarov.
Or are tibias limited? I've seen that people usually lengthen more through internals in the femur.

its not limeted but given how long ext. tibia take i personally would only do 6cm.

6cm ext. tib 11-12 months until frame removal

8cm internal femur 8 months? until return to normal life (there is no visible frame)

but with monorails or salemehfix you can hide it under trousers a couple of months before frame removal.

how about for humerus?
