Recommended height
« on: May 04, 2017, 04:10:50 AM »

Hi I'm new to this forum. I've been reading some diaries and doing some research about CLL. Please leave some constructive suggestions:

countries available
type of procedure
cost
recovery time
add ons like accommodation, Internet, assistance, PT, etc

I'm not really concerned about scarring btw. Here are my measurements :

Age: 23
Gender:Female
Current height: 153cm
Current weight: 45kg
Body type: lean and athletic
Sitting height: 80cm
Wing span: 154cm

What is the max recommended LL? Can anyone point me to diaries of people around my height who's done it?

Thank you for your constructive suggestions, I really appreciate it.

LL can be done in the external way( with Ilizarov devices) or  in an Internal way ( precice, fitbone, g-nail, betzbone nail, etc ), keep in mind that the Internal way is a lot more comfortable but a lot more expensive too, also with internal nails you cant walk in a while, talking about the maximum amount, that changes from person to person, given your actual height I would recommend a maximum of 5 cm in tibias or 6 cm in femurs or even 7 in femurs, remember that achilles tendon limits the lengthening in the tibia And It band in femurs. About the countries you can go, It depends on your budget, if you want the best doctors for femurs or tibias with internal methods And have tons of money go to usa, want externals go to Catagni in Italy, there are good but Cheaper options. Some diaries you can check are asian123 And penguins.

Well, it also depends on your personal goals. What height do you want to be? Of course, keep it realistic and sustainable for your body. Do you care about having a lower wingspan than height?

I'm not too concerned about it. I had 10cm in mind. So I'll limit tibia to 5cm as suggested by one more foot and see how I go with femur op.

I'm not sure yet. I haven't read enough diaries to have a feel of my preference. I'm wanting to do bilateral femur first.
