My preparation for Leg Lengthening.
« on: December 21, 2013, 03:20:01 PM »

I'll do LL in July so I'll prepare myself.

I've 6 months.

Here is what I'll do from this day on:

- Stretching (10 minutes each day)
- Powertraining (mostly with machines for my legs) 15-20 minutes each day
- Cardio (10 minutes running each day)

About 45-60 minutes each day.

This way I'll be prepared for the surgery.

I'm also thinking of taking vitamins and calcium right now to improve the density of my bones thus making it stronger.
I won't be taking protein shakes.

What do you think & any suggestions?

You might try doing yoga also.  I didn't do it before LL but it definitely helped me afterwards.

I don't want to folow Yoga lessons :P.
Hopefully stretching the leg's core will be enough.

Which doctor did you decide to go with?

I have no idea, I'm probably going to India.
I'm still waiting off to see which doctor would be the most recommended.

All I know is that I have about 20k to spend.

You know what I reckon would be great for LL prep?

Skipping.

Skip for ten minutes (3x3min rounds with a minute break between) everyday and your legs will get great conditioning.

You will need to stretch out big time afterward though.

Hi Doflamingo,

I've been reading some of your posts here and on old forum .
Doing LL in India seems like a dangerous and unwise idea to me. What happened to patients of Dr Sarin now seems to repeat itself with Dr Singari.
I believe that if you are on a low budget (you mentioned 20k), you should seriously consider doing external tibias in Kurgan or Volgograd. They are affordable and have a ton of experience with cosmetic LL. I read on old forum  that external tibs in Volgograd costs 12.500 Euro including 3 months stay in clinic.
You can like russians or not like them, but usually they are very serious about what they are doing and don't have a "don't worry you'll be fine" mentality.

I felt the need to make that post as it seems that many people go to India for their LL and regret that decision later.

Did internal femurs with Dr. Jamal in 2013 and went from 1,65 to 1,72.

It's not that I hate Russia or something, it's because they do "externals only".
If I go to Russia I'll have to stay in frames for like 9 months... I've only 80 days for 5cm.

Oh, and thanks for your concern; I really appreciate it :).

My decision is not made yet, I still have a lot of research to do.

I also suggest Yoga (the stretching type), it helps with flexibility and general fitness.

Hi Guys

I am doing my femurs in india in June 2014.

What exercises do u guys recommend?

I am touching my toes with hands at the moment and want to keep pushing my self till I can touch the ground with my palms while standing on my legs straightened.

Do u guys think practicing splits will also be useful?

what causes duck ass? I think its something to do with tight  hamstrings But I think its more to do with short quads. Its just that ppl always talk about hamstrings and IT bands. apparently some doctors even release this muscles during surgery. Its all a bit confusing.

Can someone educate me.

Thanks guys

I plan on doing LL sometime next year.  I plan on doing a lot if yoga before.  I tried the hot yoga a couple years ago with the room about 96 degrees and it seems to allow your muscles to stretch more and your joints to be more flexible.  I think being able to do the splits will be helpful but you want to do a lot of other stretches to prepare your legs.
