How much height is lost through natual aging?
« on: July 12, 2015, 08:43:57 PM »

From my observations it seems like an average of 3cm is lost from peak height to old age height. Some people tend to get it way worse though with 5cm and up. What have your experiences been?

lol i don't think anyone is old enough here to know if they have lost height yet.

but in general people maintain their full height up until around 40, at age 50 you will lose 1cm of height, by 60 another cm of height will be lost.

Men in their 70-90s will lose a lot of height due to age and also due to posture, by age 70 you will have lost an additional 1.5cm of height compared to the age of 60, which would total 4.5cm from your original height, by 80 you would be another 2cm shorter.

Grandpa lost like 8CM he used to be 190 and now he's only slightly taller than me. He's 96 though.
