Hi, so I'm new to the forums, but I'm hoping some of you could help me out with some information, and point me in the right directions. So, I'll tell a bit about me first so that you can come to better understand my current position. My name is Shalee, and I recently turned eighteen; I'm just under 5'0" and it's not likely I'll grow any more. My younger siblings (especially my twin sisters who are twelve) are surpassing me in height, even. I'm looking to research limb lengthening procedures, because in a couple of years (when finances allow it) I want to have the surgery done (I'll probably be 20-21 by then).
I am transgender (specifically genderfluid) and my height is the result of immense amounts of dysphoria. Some of you may not be familiar with my gender, but you can read more about it here if you care to do so (

Furthermore, I am confused by a lot of the terminology commonly found within this site (especially that of the doctors section), and was hoping someone could elaborate on the meaning of some body parts, abbreviations, and terminology? If you could explain the anatomy involved in the limb lengthening process, that'd be greatly appreciated too, but not necessary if you don't feel you understand it enough to convey it to me.
From personal experience or research, which countries seem to offer the best quality service for the best price? I plan on having the procedure done in another country, and I currently live in the U.S. (and I am not about to pay nearly $200, 000+ for this procedure either). I don't want to incidentally receive any service which is "shoddy" or puts my life in danger.
