Russian visa for UK
« on: June 07, 2015, 11:09:27 PM »

I'm a bit confused about how to apply for a russian visa from the UK.

I see 2 websites

http://ru.vfsglobal.co.uk/business.html

this one which says i need to fill in online form, and i think go to a location in edinburgh to get my fingerprints

&

http://www.visatorussia.com/russianvisa.nsf/business_visa_support.html

this website that doens't mention anything about fingerprints, but says I can't do multiple business visa without previoulsly having a business visa

the rucosm website has a completely different form, would I need to fill in that form as well as one of the other two?

Thanks

You need an invitation letter from the Dr you are seeing first this takes upto 30 days to prepare. Get that and then fill out the form through VFSglobal then go to either London or Edinburgh for fingerprints. No appointment requuired. This will be a 3 month business visa which you need to get the Dr. to extend when your in Russia.

Or get a visa to India for six months at various places in the UK for 6 months like I am no trouble!

Dr Dhawan or Sangari will hopefully do just as good a job.

thanks a lot, so I ignore the 2nd and 3rd website I posted, including the PDF on the 3rd website, www.rucosm.com/IMAGES/visa_acrobat.pdf.

also do i need a valid passport for the invitation letter to be made?

so for india i don't need an invitation letter and I don't need fingerprints, it can all be done via mail?

what ar the advantages or Dr Dhawan or Sangari over barinov?

for when filling out the visa, what should i put in as my arrive time and depart time, should i not know what they are and have surgery adn flights booked before hand, or sholud i make the arrive date and depart date much further apart than needed.

You do need a valid passport. With at least two blank pages. You need to send a copy of this via email to Dr. B and wait for the invite letter. They have been incredibly slow at this and coms is very poor.

No fingerprints for indian. Just apply for a tourist visa (6 months). I think you have to go in still but they send it you back by post.

To be honest russian doctor is probably more experienced and have streamlined the process. However Dhawan is very qualified ASAMI board etc. The indian doctors are cheaper, the whole country speaks English, the care is probably on a par if you go with the right Dr in the right hospital. They do TS frames. TBH honest your better asking a LL warrior. I'm just going on what I have read. I'll know more at the start of July when I head out there!

okay so i can expect about 30 days for the invite letter to be made up.

but surely i book my surgery slot before the visa is made, as i need to specify when i will be going to russia in the visa.

any clues as to what to put in in these fields while filling in the visa?

I was under the impression I was to contact Tonya on info5@rucosm.com for all these types of things, as irene is not doing that job now, are you saying i should contact another e-mail address and person?

Thanks

It's whoever you can get hold Irene or Tonya. To be honest I gave up because I never got replies. You can call her skype. The number is on here somewhere. Or on the website. You need the invite letter which will have the dates on that they can have you. You then need to apply for the visa as in the letter. Fill the form and to head London.
