LON Vs. LATN
« on: May 15, 2015, 07:25:25 AM »

Please compare and contrast the safety, durability, and recovery of LON vs. LATN.

As I comprehend it, a few suspect knee issues from the LON tibia procedure, due to the nail piercing the patella; although, I read elsewhere on this forum that Dr. Paley disregards that as untrue (which I cannot confirm). Regardless, as a means to avoid that, is it safe and regular to undergo bilateral LON femurs? Is LON weight bearing?

They are almost exactly the same. The only difference is when the nail is put in, which doesn't make much of a difference in safety/durability/recovery.
