mimic puberty for best results
« on: March 15, 2015, 02:47:09 AM »

you should try to mimic puberty for the best results and least amount of stress to the body.

I don't believe in all that hormone supplement rubbish, because external substances throw other hormones out of wack.

so the best way to mimic the stress is to not lengthen to fast but to lengthen at a rate the body normally lengthens at.

now I don't want to hear all this rubbish about "your body can only lengthen that fast during puberty" it is a sily argument.

we are here to mimic as closly as possible not REPLICATE puberty. we can never go through puberty again.

ok here are the lengthening speeds the body is accustomed to. the topic puberty.

The first stage: Boys generally begin puberty sometime around age 10,  an initial growth spurt may occur (with average growth being around 2 inches (5.1 centimeters) a year).

The second general stage of puberty usually occurs around age 12 or 13, The boy will continue to grow taller rapidly, at a rate of 2 to 3 inches (5.1 to 7.6 centimeters) a year.

The third stage of male puberty occurs around age 13 or 14, but frequently as early as 11 or late as 16, the boy gains in height at a rate of over 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) a year.

Stage four of male puberty commonly takes place when a boy is around 14 or 15 years old, He begins to grow taller and even faster, at about 4 inches (10.2 centimeters) a year.

The final stage of male puberty occurs anywhere from age 14 to age 18. During this time, a boy will achieve most (but not necessarily all) of his height. His body shape will have evolved to that of a man's

10.2 cm per year. seems to be the peek AVERAGE speed.

so 5-6cm per half year is a speed which mimics puberty best.

my goal is 6cm on tibia(lengthened over 4 months)(then 2 months rest), then 6 months later from day of operation do 5cm femur. total time 1 year. total length 11cm.

Why are you lengthening more on tibia than on femur?
Also how will you be lengthening each segment?

tibia and femur, contracture can happen on both however ballerina can be cured easily, however contracture on knee can be an absolute nightmare and is very serious.

contracture on knee can possibly be permanent. permanent complications should be avoided the most.

my doctor said that 5cm is the safe zone for femur and should not be lengthened past that.

I am doing both tibia and femur external with monorail. femur might be a longer bone but it has a lot of tissue that resists stretching.

You can't mimic normal growth because you normally grow in every part of your body simultanisously , this kind of growth only happens in one bone segment at a time so you can't really compare it.

11CM and two surgeries in just one year is quite agressive.

-Can your proportions handle it?

-What about your biomechanics?

-How will you recover?

-Won't there be too much trauma from doing two sugeries in one year?

No, it's OK. 20 cm is crazy. 11 cm is OK.

very good point. there is some truth to this, however 10.2cm is the late stages of puberty(stage 4), and I did take this into account when I made the post.

Growth starts in the feet and hands first, then legs and arms. the reason the body height per cm increases to its peek is because at that stage the legs and arms are what is growing during puberty. so it is very valid to look at 10.2cm for the leg only. puberty happens in stages, different body parts grow in peek at different stages. :)
