Typically if you inform the doctor or hospital that you want to get lengthening done they will get you a medical visa after you provide them with the info they need.

What is your budget? I've spoken with the doctor that does lengthening at Sparsh hospital in bangalore and he quoted $6,000 USD. He only does externals however and you have to arrange housing and physio yourself.

hey tikal ,
my suggestion for you is not to go for cheap doctors .
i know you are desperate to do LL , don't just jump into it or else you will suffer for life .
Wait till you arrange some more money to do LL with a good and reliable doctor .
even if it takes some more years , it will be worth it.
use your common sense not guts .
take care and be safe

and if you can then do safe some more extra money in case of emergency .

if you do older method like ilizarov then you have to wear the frames till your bone consolidates which can take from 1 year to 1.5 years , you will have to be mentally strong . well i do not recommend that to you .
and if you do LON method then then it will be costly according to your budget .
i suggest you arrange more money and consult a good doctor, that is the only option .

You shouldn't pick a doctor based just on price.  Some of the cheaper doctors will f*ck up your legs and it will cost you more time and more money in the end.  Being short sucks but I imagine being short and crippled must really suck, especially when it was your decision to go to a less than reputable doctor that caused you to be crippled.
