Spinal lengthening?
« on: January 24, 2015, 05:27:15 AM »

Anyone know how the horizon is looking for spinal vertebral column lengthening?

I was reading this article: http://www.aaos.org/news/aaosnow/sep14/cover2.asp and it seems stem cell therapy already works to increase spinal disc height in treating degenerative disc disease. Article also talked about bone marrow aspirate with allograft is capable of forming bone!! with peer review studies to back it up. Clinical trials were tested successfully in the lumbar.

How long do you guys think it will be before cosmetic spinal lengthening is available? I'm guessing the method would be very different from CLL because there are cartilage regions in each segment of the spine. Which theoretically can be lengthened permanently if the bone marrow technique is utilized.

God I want this to happen so badly. A long torso looks very aesthetic and manly.

But when you lie in bed too much and "grow" too much, risk of degenerative  disease increases...

In all honesty guys, we are talking about an area of our body where guys get paralyzed for disconnecting nerves in there and there still aint jack chit science can do about it.

It also connects to the brain stem. For me its a non starter. The spine is off limits.
