pin-site tender, bleeding and pain

how do i know if this is infection?

the other pin sites are not red, they are fine, not tender as well.

it prevents me from walking properly!

dr is out of town. nurse insists not infection, puts anti-bacterial ointment.

dr says if 3-4 days not ok, use antibiotics...
