Title: Forum was down for 3 days?

It had me realize how valuable this site is. No where else is there such an active community as this one.
It also made me realize how vulnurable we are.

We need some backup communication channel in exceptional cases like this.

I am sorry to say but old forum is only last resort.
Apotheosis / sysop / S.C.A - has it under tight control. No PMs allowed, he reads them. Diaries are fitted into his profitable agenda and as u say sponsorship.

I thought the same thing. One can make backups of important threads (advice and diaries) on archives (archive.org/web; archive.is) and perhaps get in touch with users they'd like to stay in touch with via email.

email is unfortunately too person. I prefer privacy and to remain anonymous. We need a d like chatting room
