I will be doing total hip replacement on both hips. Doctor said I can gain 1 to 2 cm.
But if a revision is done you can gain height again.
One man gained 2 inches in 1 session i.e 5cm

There is also Knee replacement, which is not a cosmetic procedure and doctors do not want to lengthen more than 2cm as it can cause nerve damage, but there are cases where doctor lengthened more than 2.5inches (6.25cm) to fix bow legs

Total hip replacement also has way higher safety rate in terms of death or serious injury COMPARED to limb lengthening and the height gain is IMMEDIATE, why aren't more taking this approach?

are you serious, comparing hip that has so many points of connection (tendon/ligaments) verses one piece of bone that is not connected to any tendons or ligaments. WTF

A young guy to do hip / knee replacement to gain height is beyond any retarded idea i ever heard ...

Total hip replacement replaces the femoral head of the femur and does not do anything to hip bone or ligaments
I think everyone is confused why it is called hip replacement when it does nothing to hip bone. It is a confusing name
I have avascular necrosis on both my hips, so I need total hip replacement.
With advacing of techonology, Imperial college is soon to use ceramic hip resurfacing which does not replace femoral head and this also gives few cm height gain while potentially giving you a better hip than a healthy hip as it is ceramic and not metal and as it is giving you new artificial cartillage
