Just realized this is the proper place for a diary. Posted on here awhile ago. Got the surgery nov 19.
Plan rn is to lengthen 85mm (of which i have lengthened 55mm already) then just recover and go home and see if this new height is enough. If it isn't I will come back do another 55mm on tibia.
LON femur sucks and I wish I hadn't done it. Just sleeping is difficult and the inconveniences of the fixator.
Funny enough I don't really notice my new height difference that much yet.

Welcome to this platform, my friend.
Where exactly did you do the LL surgery in Istanbul and are you satisfied? Where exactly are you from, which country, and will you stay in Türkiye during the surgery? What is your height and is the price affordable? I would be grateful if you could give us more information on such issues. Good luck!

So far I am satisfied. I'm from the united states and yes I am staying here.
Just wondering whether I should lengthen tibia right after femur or if I should wait a year
Price is great! COL in istanbul is low. Hard to figure out where to get decent food tho lol

Thank you for your feedback, my friend.
I know Istanbul quite well, as I have been there several times. As a German-Turk, I recommend that you always negotiate when shopping. It is best to eat where the locals eat. Stay away from the tourist centers. People are extremely helpful and usually willing to talk. There are extremely many options for eating in Istanbul. You can also agree on a flat rate with a specific restaurant and that way you can always order your food there much cheaper, no matter what you want to eat.
Good luck!

I'm just staying in my room and getting food delivered lol

Are you staying in a hotel or an apartment? Did you organize everything yourself, or did the clinic do it for you? Did you receive a flat rate package from the clinic, or did you do everything yourself? Have a good rest! 8)

Good luck on your journey man. Can you tell what was your knees ROM right after surgery? And how is it now?

'm stopping lengthening at 6cm and getting the fixators removed Monday.
I mean this puts me at 166cm which is unfortunate and means I will have to come back and do tibia next year and try to get to at least 172cm.
The main issue with turkey is just that they can't really control pain because of dumb opioid laws. I mean that and a lot of other unwritten rules means that when I come back late this year I will be better prepared.
