I wish I had enough money to do bilateral lengthening or betzbone lengthening with Dr. Becker
but woof.. I picked the wrong stock. I am stupid.
I am just going to do LON tibia.

See if you have any sort of bowed tibias or knock knees. Assayag may be able to discount tibia LL for you, I had bowed tibias so I was able to use insurance to pay for the correction codes

So, you did tibia lengthening and knock knee fixation surgeries simultaneously. That's really interesting!
However, I personally don't want to Dr. Assayag because I want 7cm tibia lengthening (although, I am willing to settle for 6.5cm) and
my understanding is, Assayag will only perform the surgery if the patient's tibia lengthening goal is 5 cm.

Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I remember Paley, which is the best surgeon of all time, doesn't do more than 4,5 cm on the tibias, and dr birkholtz doesn't recommend more either, so I if you care about your legs, you should probably stop at that point.

Yes the safe limit is 5 cm on the tibias and 7 cm on the femurs
but I am not satisfied with 5 cm on the tibias. I know for a fact, there are people that have done more than 5 cm on the tibias and live normal lives.
Of course, if you do more than 5 cm on the tibias, athletic ability will not be the same as before but I am okay with losing a bit of athletic ability.

There is a quad patient here that did 6cm. I think that is the max he allows, as long as there is not issues like bad bone growth etc.
It’s not simultaneous, the inside of the hexapod struts lengthen higher than the other side to correct. you slowly lengthen and correct at the same time.
You don’t want to do 7 on tibias, every Cm you pass after 5-6 you exponentially lose function and gain tightness.

Let's say if someone chooses to do a 6 cm lengthening on the tibias, will it be very hard, or will they lose some functionality?

I hear Dr. Gdalevitch in Canada does tibia lengthening past 5cm+ and is also relatively affordable. I think she uses botox injections or something of that nature to accomplish it.
