I lengthened my femurs by 7cm (159->166cm) and the lengthening process went pretty smoothly. Now I am 2 months into consolidation with very poor callus formation. I realized my arms look short now (163cm wingspan) but I also want to do tibia lengthening in the future because my femur:tibia ratio is distorted now. I regret lengthening 7cm and wish I had stopped at 5 or 6, I would have better proportions and maybe better bone healing.

Can you send pictures? I would like to see if your arms are really short

Well you can go for operation to shorten the femur.
Stop being vain...1cm doesnt not make big difference.

Big chance you will like the T/F ratio better when your femur muscles grow back. If you’re still not happy afterwards then try to do make the quadriceps even bigger by working out.
-
if your regenerate is poor, reverse the ERC and shorten the desired amount… it will help bone healing… with PRECICE it’s that easy!

Are you a drama-boy, or you didnt know what you are getting into ?
Be happy you are 7 cm taller (because you really need that !) and thank to God you didnt have real complications !
Now call your doctor and tell him that maybe you need a bone graft (taken from your iliac bone), which will accelerate the callus building...
You're welcome !

Post some pictures, hide your ID, etc. I did 7 cm and I thought the same thing. Doing this really stretches all those soft tissues out and draws a lot of attention and focus onto your femoral region. You'll start looking at it and wondering..."Did I overdo this?" Stop yourself from thinking that. You worked really hard to get that length, and sacrificed lot financially, physically, time, and more. As you start to regain some size and building that bulk back, it is going to fill in and look much more natural. And when I say building back size, I don't mean working out, I just mean building it back organically by walking, using stairs, going about your daily routine. Of course, leg exercises will facilitate this process, but follow your doctor's orders since it has only been 2 months and your consolidation is not performing ideally. I had that occur on one side, they had to place a SLIM nail in when removing the rods, and then caused the bone to consolidate properly. Talk to your doctor. If I were you...I'd give myself a year or 2 with your new height to decide if you really think you overdid that or not. Just give it a chance with full healing and regained size to make a calculated decision. If you think you truly overdid it, they can undo it. But that will be a challenge as well. Keep us updated on your thoughts. You got this.

This is someone who started at 165 cm and did 7 cm femurs. As you can see, his femurs were relatively short but after the lengthening, his hands rest relatively higher against his knees. Past 5 cm femur gets too long and unless one has ape like arms or dwarf tier femurs to begin with, almost anybody will look disproportional with 7 cm femur lengthening in that regard (arm length to femur ratio).

7 cm won't look that bad if someone starts at 173+ cm but guys less than 170 cm won't look the same after that amount of lengthening though. That gets even brutal if one is less than 165 cm and below 160 cm mark, proportions will be screwed all over (not only arms to height but torso to height).
IMO, guys withing 157-162 cm range should always go with quadrilateral with moderate gains (5 cm femur and 4 cm tibia at most).
In your case, if it really looks odd and affects the perception of your self image, you'd better invest in humerus lengthening instead of tibial LL with your second LL. After that forget about LL and never do tibia unless very reach and young.

I've seen his pictures, he looks fine!
I'm going max 8.3cm with femurs, starting height 161 if not 160 cm.
Don't understand what's the problem.
Proportions look fine!
It's more like trying to be too perfect!
Nothing is perfect.

Have you used (medicine) Forsteo? (teriparatide).
-
I am thinking to use it, is if helpful? Callus in one of my leg is low, there are bridging lines but density isn’t great
-
Definitely look into your diet and supplements. Also ensure you are sleeping sufficient. Besides that, try partial weight bearing often, if your doctor and PT allow
-
At the very least, you've traded one problem for a smaller problem (no pun intended).
-
Just use teriparatide and you will consolidate in no time.

Jesus your headline scared the crap out of me >:(

163 cm wingspan with 166 cm height is in the range of naturally it should look fine.
