Title: V-Taper lengthening: Clavicle, pelvis/hipbones
Post by: JackLong on August 03, 2014, 12:55:36 AM
Is this possible? I haven't seen it performed anywhere

Wow.. had no idea that was possible or practiced by cosmetic surgeons.

But judging by the mockup picture yes it would make it look much better and more masculine. Not sure how this would affect you physically though, would the rod in the shoulders reduce movement and strength?

Im glad i dont need these surgeries, i have wide shoulders and thin hips already :p.

Very interesting stuff for sure. I can't help but wonder if these kinds of surgeries (involving osteotomies and lengthening) will become far more commonplace among men in the near future.

Why is the titanium rod in the clavicle permanent? That doesn't sound very good to me? Why can't the clavicle just be lengthened gradually instead of all at once (this allowing bigger gains if desired)? Why isn't the titanium rod removable later in life?

I also wish that some entity would eventually find a way to safely lengthen the forearms and torso. Then, it would be more realistic to get taller proportionally after puberty. It sucks to lack a long torso or long arms going into cosmetic LL.

To widen the shoulder - lift weights

To reduce the waist - sit-ups or burn calories

It works :D

Wow  :o
Sounds interesting but trust me you may change your mind after doing one of these procedures. It is very hard work and can get very difficult at times after surgery.
I am reconsidering doing tibia lengthening. With 4 surgeries (inc.clavicle and hip) I'd feel completely butchered, irradiated from the xrays and a toxic wasteland from painkiller overdosage.
I simply think shoulder and hip surgeries are unneccesary after ll'ing.

Yeah but that's hard work. :D

I'd probably get this done if I had unlimited money, but that doc looks really expensive.  I wonder if Dr. Parihar does this....

just fking unbelievable. Some people need mental evaluation and not surgeries.

You're right, doesn't look like it is done anywhere

I hope you do realise that it is imperative to have functional arms during LL since LL requires tremendous amount of arm strength. I cannot imagine one doing LL with broken clavicles. Not to sound rude but all four surgeries sounds extremely unrealistic. Doctors usually advice not to lengthen both femurs and tibias together. But broken clavicles and hip reduction along with quadrilatetal lengthening is beyond imagineable. You will be completely bedridden for months or even a year. Try and imagine not being able to go to the toilet and your only option is to defacate in bed for months. You really need to take this extremely seriously. Anyways i wish you all the best.

There isn't a single doctor in the world who would do this retarted thing.

Still, it's amazing how much longer, stronger, bigger, and more masculine the upper body looks with wider shoulders. But, like smallguy pointed out, this should be worked on a lot in the gym before ever even thinking about surgery.

Another observation: are you sure that only 1.5 inches were added to your shoulder span in your mockups? It looks like a lot more was added.

Good luck with your operations, OP. :) Can I ask why you are having your pelvis/hipbones widened?

I would love to have my shoulders widened also, if that's at all possible. You can build muscle on the shoulder and build your lats, but ultimately it's limited by how wide your clavicle bones are.

I heard that swimming can help widen shoulders, but perhaps that's only when you're growing in your teens? Can a 23 year old like me get wider shoulders from swimming?

Once again, good luck and if you find a doctor who will widen shoulders, I'd love you to message me their name/website. :P

Dr Parihar told me he received quite a few e-mails inquiring about clavicle lengthening and hip reduction after this thread was made. Just in case anyone is still wondering, he won't do this sort of thing.

I got 2 questions, does anybody do this? Why was it advertised? Thanks.

This is interesting but much too intrusive. I am worried about shoulder width after lenghtening though I would hate to end up a beanpole.
