Title: LL and legs muscle
Post by: nandrone on April 09, 2021, 05:16:06 PM
The legs can become as thick as before, or even more? I'm actually thinking of having this surgery in the future, but I like bodybuilding and particularly big and massive legs (like Big Ramy, for example) have been one of my goals, but I'm afraid that if I undergo LL I won't be able to do it because the muscles "stretch"

I am pretty sure you won’t get there even without LL)

Just take it as an example hahahah, obviously I know naturally it's impossible to have those legs, but I just want to know if you can still get really thick legs with the LL

They can become even thicker, and probably will.  It's harder to move bigger, longer things.  I used to have skinny bird calves and now they're really big.  The tibialis anterior muscles got so big I needed fasciotomy surgery for exertional compartment syndrome, which used to occur just from regular walking with my new legs.

Does that mean that then the leg muscles grow much more than before?

You can search “ video 12 years leg after surgery 7CM femur “
Cristopher did LL almost 20years ago and he’s a bodybuilder. There are several videos and he came back in the forum some months ago.

Interestingly I was watching a video about this topic involving Victor (Cyborg4life) and Dr Assayag where they discuss this. I could not quite hear the doc's response, so I made this thread.

It seems like biologically muscles don't regenerate properly but clinically it looks ok. So I guess at least in the near term there will not be any problems functionally or visually but I think no one knows about long term.

This confuses me a bit because I have read different opinions on the forum, some arguing that the muscles adapt to the longest bone and grow, and others saying that they stay stretched and that for that reason you have to sacrifice some athletic ability to gain height. . So I'm not sure what is true and what is not.

Basically nerves, blood vessel and muscles grow. The don't stretch!. The problem is that muscle may not grow well or work as before. The reasons for that is that your muscles doesn't have more reserve and that why they do an flexible exam to know how much lenthening your muscles can reserve. The other reason is when do excessive rate of lenthening like 0.50mm×2 a day.

Why does it matter if muscle have reserve or not if they are going to regenerate anyway?

I am concerned about this too. Muscle hypertrophy would look terrible on me.
