I don't think I've read about a single case of someone maxing out their precise/stryde nail on this forum and my conclusion is that it must be a dangerous idea for almost everyone

You must not have read a lot of journals then.
Edit: To be helpful and not just tell you to look for yourself, let's take a look at all the finished or nearly finished Stryde cases on just the first page of the patient experiences subform as of right now. They are basically all bilateral femur cases.
- m7liam, 8cm
- SuchLL, 7.4cm and still going
- IFS, 3 inches (7.5cm)
- Movie, 8cm
- Asian, 6.5cm and still going
- SNC, 8cm
- BoneStretching, 8cm
Also keep in mind there are tons of people who do this and don't even know the forum exists, let alone post a journal on here.

According Dr. Gdavelitch in the interview with Victor most people achieve the full 8cm. From the other doctors I watched I do not recall someone mentioning specifically percentage of patients who make it.

8 cm is common?
I'm not very flexible, I wonder if I can get more than 6.5 cm someday if I get IT band release/nerve decompression..

I probably had some of the worst flexibility of any CLL patient ever. 3 months prior to surgery I could not touch my toes. I was about 5 inches away from touching my toes. I stretched every day and I was finally able to touch my toes before surgery. I achieved 7.5cm or 3 inches. I can walk and jog now with no issue and I look perfectly natural. 8cm appears to be very safe now especially since from day one you are able to weight bare on the Stryde nails. Styrde nail provides for an active recovery experience like never before. The days of laying in bed or sitting in a wheelchair for weeks and months are over.
All the Best!

Ahhh :)
Thank you, I'm hopeful
I think Giotikas and others limit tibias to 6 cm, I wonder if tibias are different?
-
Did you need to do IT band release and nerve decompression and any other surgeries in order to get the full 8 cm?
-
IT band rlease is always performed, for lower lenghtening goal too

Giotikas limits tibias to 6cm as far as I am aware but allows the full 8cm for femurs assuming you are progressing well.

Yeah hmm.... then it seems like in the very best case scenario assuming things progress well that 6+8 = 14 cm total is the absolute maximum one could get.
I have heard one person on this forum said he had pain from too much lengthening and was looking to get a small amount of leg shortening to counteract the pain though so there is that fear that it may come back to bite someone.
Decisions, decisions ..

Rozbruch gave me a statistic - 90% get to 3" w/ Precise.
