Title: Safe lengthening range variation with starting height

From what I understand it is safer to do 6cm in femurs for someone who is 5’11 than for someone who is 5’6. What is the height used as reference point when they claim that 5cm is the maximum safe amount for femurs? I also believe that shoe size plays an important role in how stable your legs feel post-op.
