Hello
I'm a 178cm tall girl and I'm planning on getting my legs shortened soon (with Dr. Mitkovic or Dr. Betz).
I wonder how much I can shorten without screwing up my proportions too much.
Unfortunately I have quite a big sitting height: 92cm
(Legs inseam are 86cm.)
That means currently my leg/height ratio is 48,3% and my sitting height/height ratio is 51,6%.
If I shorten my legs by 4cm, I'll be at 47,1% (leg/height ratio) and 52.9% (sitting height/height ratio).
Do you think this is still acceptable for a girl? Could I even go for 6cm (46,5% and 53.5%)?

I think it's hard to visualize with just numbers.
Are you planning on shortening your femurs? Have those doctors already replied with what's possible to do?
-
Dr. Mitkovic told me he'd do max. 4cm on the femurs. But in a second surgery I could do 2 cm on the tibias.
Dr. Betz told me it's possible to do 4-6 cm on the femurs.
I don't know yet how I'm gonna do it.

Did they explain why were those numbers the limit?

They said if I do more the surrounding soft tissue and muscles won‘t adapt.

4cm+2cm seems like the best bet if you want to do 6cm.
