"Thanks for your interest in the Fitbone limb lengthening procedure. This is a cosmetic indication you want so cost ranges from 5M to 6M PhP.
Nails come in different sizes . We usually use the right size for each patient.
The lengthening nails are not manufactured for weight bearing thus we do exchange nailing as part of the package in order for you to bear weight. You will need to use crutches during the lengthening period."

Best regards,

Dr. Frez

Very interesting. I personally know by experience that Fitbone isn't weightbearing, therefore I've been on a wheelchair for the past two months. And now another doctor allows his patients to partially bear weight with crutches during a Fitbone lengthening? Sounds risky to me. I'll ask about this to Dr.Inan. If a doctor can allow crutches with Fitbone, if it's technically possible, then this would be perfect. Perhaps I could at least get permission to use crutches for transfers immediately post-lengthening.

Doesn't 5000000 Philippine Peso equals  111955 US Dollar?     For 111K USD,  it's in the price range of Dr Paley, Dr Guichet etc

This country has one of the most expensive healthcare costs. That hospital alone is probably the top private hospital in the country. It's I think the only one which is JCI-accredited (http://www.jointcommissioninternational.org/about-jci/jci-accredited-organizations/).

Insurers prefer JCI-accredited hospitals if Americans are hospitalized outside the United States.

I'd rather go to Paley.

With prices like that I'd be surprised if he's ever actually had a cosmetic patient interested in his whole career.

Seriously...It's definitely out of my price range.
