Title: why do some clinics advocate (eg, paley) 1mm/day for tibia? instead of 0.5/0.75

this is my question

paley explicitly says turn-rate is 1mm./day. according to crimsontide they routinely perform ligament release surgery... is this true..?

my doctor (bagirov, Moscow) allowed lengthening  at 1mm/day for first five days, and 0,75/day later. 1mm/day allowed, but at my own risk

acc to MDOW, in china, they allowed 1.25/day for cases of fast union.

also. I read a diary say turning 2mm./day for tibia?

insane?

why do some clinics say 1 mm/day as part of the standard protocol? do they mean first few days? or first few weeks??

I do not see why it is wrong to turn 1 mm./day if archilles and knee function is perfect. but my doctor (fahri) says NO. do 0.75. 1mm.day at ur own risk!

Dr. Paley only does about 0.7 mm or day on the tibias, I think. As for Dr. Bagirov, his advice of turning at 1 mm or day for the first five days is pretty similiar to what Dr. Guichet does. I believe it is done to shock the muscular, nervous, etc. tissues into growth. Even though both doctors seem to do this at the very beginning, they both end up essentially following Dr. Fahri's suggestion of only 0.75 mm a day, as both Bagirov and Guichet slow the lengtening down to that distraction rate after the first initial week or so of lengthening.

Its individual. The only two people doing tibia I knew were doing .5 mm.
