Title: what is your dorsiflexion level
Post by: GROWtalORdieTRYING1 on October 29, 2014, 02:04:59 PM
hey guys.

ok I always worry about not being flexible enough as I am doing 2 surgeries back to back.

but my measurements always seem to indicate I am extremely flexible.

however I want to know how others compare and not just compare myself to medical literature.

this thread is dedicated to dorsiflexion (flexing foot upwards while standing straight)(I guess you could also measure it when sitting down with femur at a perpendicular to tibia)

I measure a 45 degree angle. (use a ruler and a protractor)

I have around a 45 degree angle for this which apparently is good. what does everyone else have.

My dorsiflexion was pretty pathetic. I think it was around 5 degrees according to Tejal. I was either born with tight fascia or the hypertrophy in the calves from all the weightlifting caused them to tighten.
