Welcome to the forum! I hope that it will be helpful to you, regardless of whether or not you end up doing LL.

If you don't mind, may I ask why you are unhappy with your height at 185 CM? Personally, I'd give almost anything to be that height, and, as far as I know, it is considered above average everywhere in the world except perhaps the Dineric Alps region.

Yeah I feel your pain op. I'm 185.5 cm before bedtime and see too many people taller than me to say I'm tall. But you could do arm lengthening as well but 2" isn't a big difference in height so you'd probably be fine.

See a therapist and stop these foolish thoughts of breaking and stretching your legs for zero benefit.

Hey Glichelu, how tall are you? Have you had ll yet?

you guys should better focusing on your own ll goal than others, and tall men (yes because 185 cm and plus is tall, no matter what you think, it's statistically 6 cm above average for white young men,  8 cm overall, maybe 9) should not create topic just to say they want ll and make short guys more insecure.

This is a guy who's 5.11.5-6'0 whos getting LL to be 6'1-6'1.5".You'd get no gain either so you have no right to flame the op as well.

Of course it is. Don't forget that your head will also seem too short with your new height, so you'll need to lengthen it too. As a bonus, your brain will grow even bigger, so you'll gain intelligence.

It's actually arm lengthening. Not sure. old forum  has some links to arm lengthening but I personally was never interested in it.

exactly. I always wonder if these people are trolls or just need to see a medical professional.

actually that is incorrect, you do gain a massive amount from 5"11 to 6"1, after that you gain nothing.

please don't take this offensively. but this height neurosis is completely in your head. you have other problems that need to be addressed that are unrelated to height.  take a journey of self discovery and work it out. good luck.

@Growtallerordietrying

You told me the 3 different heights in a social setting and you said that after 6'0" you'd gain nothing and anything more would just be arbitrary. Now your upping it to 6'1"? Sounds like your taking sides with the poster who wants to be 6'1.5".

In some affluent areas 6'0 feels just about average, I must say. That's just my perception, though, and height neurosis probably influences that. Scientific studies would be more reliable. But it seems as though 6'2+ guys are everywhere and sometimes even the norm in certain areas, and they get most of the attention and status, to the point that it's obvious when comparing them to guys bellow 6'0. I feel like I can't go anywhere without the lifts I wear to make me 6'0 when I'm in these kinds of places.

Prestigious universities and the workplaces of certain companies are a good example of places where the average height seems astronomically higher than in the rest of the world.

Again, this is just my perception, so please don't blast me for presenting this as if it were factually and actually this way. I know that it may well not be, but to a person with height neurosis, this is how it feels to me.

No your right. Man, I am just 1" short of 6'2" and if I got ll to be 6'2" and taller, it'd do wonders for me. I could win most fist fights, be a prestigeous frame, and get more women than I ever dreamed of. I wish you luck and hope you get to be a 6'2" or taller guy one day! ;)

After leg lengthening you'll never be anywhere near as good in a fight as you would be naturally. You're dreaming.

After healing up and the frames being removed, give it time and your bones will recover.
During consolidation yeah but once it's done you'll probably be good as new.

Bones aren't the problem. It's the trauma to your soft tissues and change in balance and gait that that's the issue.

Ok so, how are the muscles forever changed? Do they ache or what? Im aware that only through hell can your body's anatomy change but does one gets aches and lose balance more often or something else?
